Titan of Douro
The Douro and the passion for the great stories that the old vines hug to themselves were the watchword for the start of an adventure. Luís Leocádio (Oenology) and Vanessa Santos (Management) were born and raised in the Douro, he in Trevões, she in Paredes da Beira, both parishes of São João da Pesqueira. They left their roots to study and gain experience, later returning to their origins and starting the Titan of Douro project in 2016.

Titan of Douro is a name inspired by the faithful friend of the family, a Dogo Argentino, a dog with such tenderness and courage as his heart!

From the outset, the work has always focused on finding old vines in the most genuine and least explored places in the Douro, where there would be new tales to tell in the form of wine. It was in the foothills of Serra do Reboredo (altitude, 1,000 m), in Paredes da Beira, at the highest point in the Douro, that it all began. Surrounded by an abundance of granite outcrops, the area has sandy granite soils interspersed with quartz veins, the altitude is between 700 and 1,000 meters. It lies on the slopes of the Távora River and boasts an enviable heritage of ancient vineyards, untouched by time and tended by hands toughened by years of hard work down the generations. The outcome is wines of great freshness, character and identity!
The commitment is always to enhance the best that the vineyard offers, respecting its history, tradition and the spirit of its people.
